How It Works
1. Design, site check and written quote
We measure the yard, check the caliche, and design the pool with shade planned in from the start rather than added later. The quote is itemized and the excavation is priced honestly instead of left open.
2. Permits and excavation
We pull the City of Laredo permits and book the inspections. Our own crew does the dig, the steel and the plumbing, and the whole process can be handled in Spanish if that is easier for you.
3. Gunite, tile, interior and deck

What is the best pool finish for Laredo water?
A pebble finish such as PebbleTec, if the budget reaches. Our fill water is hard and high in dissolved solids, and evaporation concentrates it further, so calcium deposits are a constant. Pebble hides them far better than anything smooth and runs 15 to 20 years. Polished quartz is the middle option at 12 to 18.
Standard white plaster gets 10 to 15 here and is the shortest-lived, though if you are refinishing a rental or a pool you plan to sell, white plaster is genuinely the sensible economic choice and we will fit it without a lecture.
How much does shade actually help?
More than almost anything else you can spend the same money on. A palapa over a tanning ledge, a cedar pergola over the seating area, or a properly tensioned shade sail is the difference between a backyard nobody uses between noon and six and one the family sits in during a July afternoon.
It also slows evaporation and reduces the UV load on your water, which cuts chlorine consumption. We plan shade into new builds and we retrofit it onto existing pools, and we bring it up on every quote because it is the single most under-bought item in this market.
How long does a new pool take to build in Laredo?
Eight to twelve weeks from the first cut for a gunite pool, and two to three weeks for a fiberglass install. The variable that moves it most here is caliche. Some lots dig easily and some need a hammer or a rock saw, which is why we probe before quoting rather than discovering it on day two.
